| Service links Asia with South America
Shipping group CMA CGM has revealed that it is launching ACSA 2, a new direct service between Asia, Mexico and the West Coast of South America, operated in partnership with CSCL, Hanjin Shipping and Hyundai Merchant Marine.
The new joint service is designed to strengthen the France-based group's presence in these trade lanes, offering customers direct connections to Guayaquil, Iquique and Valparaiso, enlarged port coverage of the west coast of South America, and improved capacity.
Deploying 10 vessels with capacities ranging from 2,350 TEUs to 2,550 TEUs, the service's port rotation will be Shekou, Ningbo, Shanghai, Pusan, Manzanillo, Buenaventura, Guayaquil, Callao, Iquique, Valparaiso, San Vicente, Manzanillo, Pusan and Shekou. | | | |
| JOIN COOPERATION NEW SERVICE TO AUSTRALIA
China Shipping start to joint cooperation with other 3 carrier to launch a new service to AUSTRALAI named SAL service, The other 3 carrier are Hapag Lyoid, Hyundai, UASC and China Shipping. Each of those carrier launch 1 vessel with space capacity 2000 teus per vessel. This new service will be launched as of 31 Aug 2010 of arrival date in PKL.
The routing of the service will be : PKL - SIN - FREMANTLE - SYDNEY - MELBOURNE - ADELAIDE
The space available for this new service are 500 teus/week for all SEA origin, including 100 teus/week for Indonesia.

| Tanjung Priok port capacity will be increased 113%
PT Port, Indonesia (Pelindo) II project the Port of Tanjung Priok port capable of handling the flow of containers amounted to 9.5 million twenty foot equivalent units (TEUs) in 2020, up 113% from current capacity of around 4 million TEUs. Pelindo II President Director Richard Jose Lino said it refers to the projection of a new pier development at the northern port will be divided into three stages of development through the reclamation process with a total area of 246 hectares.
To improve the activities of loading and unloading of goods during the 24 hours seven days per week, Lino said it took the association at the port sector. A number of associations that coupled the Indonesian National Shipowners Association (INSA), Asosiasi Perusahaan Bongkar Muat Indonesia (APBMI), Gabungan Forwarder dan Ekspedisi Indonesia (GAFEKSI), the Asosiasi Pengusaha Indonesia (Apindo), National Employers' Organisasi Pengusaha Nasional Angkutan Bermotor (DPC Organda), and Tenaga Kerja Bongkar Muat (TKBM). Secretary of Transportation of the Ministry of Transportation Directorate General of Bobby R. Mamahit says it supports the development plan to increase the capacity of Tanjung Priok in Indonesia's biggest port. | | |
