Evergreen Line, China Shipping and CMA CGM have announced that they are to work together to launch an upgraded Asia-Europe AEX7 service at the end of June. This is the first time that all three carriers have cooperated in the Asia-Europe trade. This new joint service provides greater frequency and meets requirements and expectations of customers, the companies said in a statement.
The three companies are to deploy a total of nine vessels of 8,000-9,250teu, with six CSCL vessels, two from Evergreen and one from CMA CGM. The port rotation is: Shanghai, Ningbo, Shekou, Hong Kong, Yantian, Port Kelang, Le Havre, Rotterdam, Hamburg, Zeebrugge, Port Kelang, Shanghai.

The Evergreen Shipping Line and China Shipping Container Lines (CSCL) began this weekend a new transpacific line between ports of China and the United States.
The service, Evergreen Line will market under the name of China / South U.S. West Coast Service 2 (CPS2), responds to the expansion of trade between both countries, the company said.
The route will link the ports of Oakland, Los Angeles, Qingdao, Shanghai, Ningbo and, again, Oakland and will initially cover five vessels of 4,000 TEUs capacity.
The first line out took place on Saturday in Qingdao with the operation of the ship "Ever Develop" that specializes Oackland it reaches 13 June. The route of the service lasts for 35 days.
Evergreen China participates in service / U.S. West Coast South Service (CPS) of CSCL through agreement and shared spaces on the line Asia Central America (PCA) of the Chinese shipping company.
CPS service connects the ports of Qingdao, Lianyungang, Ningbo, Shanghai, Ningbo, Pusan, Los Angeles, Oackland and again, Qingdao.

Jakarta International Container Terminal (JICT) is pleased to announce that it has set a new productivity record. While servicing the MV Evergreen Porthos on May 7, terminal staff members completed 2,728 container moves in 16 hours, resulting in a vessel operating rate of 171 moves per hour. This was 39 percent faster than the previous record of 123 moves per hour.
Commenting on JICT’s accomplishment, JICT President Director Arif Siregar said, “We are very proud of the new record. It reflects the commitment of every JICT employee to deliver the best services to our customers. It also demonstrates JICT’s capability to handle large vessels against the backdrop of our on-going expansion programme, which includes the construction of additional yard space, the procurement of new quay and yard equipment and the implementation of nGen, a proprietary terminal operations system of HPH.”
Upon completion in 2013, JICT will have an additional 12 hectares of container yard space and an automated gate complex that will connect directly to the Jakarta Outer Ring Road (JORR) for more efficient movement of trucks in and out of the terminal. JICT’s handling capacity will be increased by 50 percent to three million TEU per annum from the current level of two million TEU.
